Most of the time, they include the wearer's blood type and special medical conditions such as allergies and diseases. The company's contact information is also engraved or embossed on the bracelet. For instance, if a stranger meets an accident, and no one can give any relevant information about his health, the doctors can just call the number and ask for his or her medical history. This is especially useful if the case is critical. The company can also give the doctor the contact numbers of the victim's family.

If bracelets are not good enough for you, then this might just be. Today, many senior citizens around the world wear a handy memory band. This device uses USB flash memory technology in order to provide medical information about the wearer. Many senior citizens already have unreliable memories, making them forget that they just took their medicine half an hour ago. The data that these bands carry can be incredibly useful. If one of these elderly people is involved in an accident, the doctor can use the band to see the wearer's medical history. This can enable the doctor to decide and carry on operations fast and efficiently. We all know that timing is crucial in the hospital.

The world is becoming more and more dangerous every day. We need to protect ourselves by whatever means possible. Yes, there may be no Power Rangers to save the day, but, at least, some of technology's latest devices have provided new ways to make us all feel a bit more secure.
